Natalie

I haven't seen Natalie latterly.
Well not since the night of the play,
When we sat in the bar
Of the Huntington Spa
And decided that Denis was gay.

Darling Natalie fancied our Denis,
And although she had known lots of men,
She had played all the field
And she knew how to yield,
But she simply got nowhere with Den.

It's not that Den didn't like Nattie.
She's pretty, vivacious....but dim.
She called him her Love,
But when push came to shove
She just wasn't 'Darling', to him.

No, I haven't seen Natalie latterly.
I suppose she feels left in the lurch.
Its as if she were dead
Since Den and I wed;
And she didn't appear at the church.
